I HATE change. I hate loss.

Even though I haven't posted in a looong while, I'm going to miss this place. I have fond memories of so many people that I've met and shared with here.

I genuinly appreciate all my friends that I've had the honor of meeting here. We've been family. We've made each other laugh, cry, and ponder. We've provoked. We've fallen in and out of love and like here.

If at possible, I'd like to stay in contact. Most of my "posse" have already migrated over to Facebook, but for the rest...here are my vitals...

The Dog House was never supposed to be a place for sadness, but most of my old Blogstream possee know that Marc passed away August 10th from liver failure.

I just wanted to take an opportunity to thank all my sweet friends from here for all your kind words and support and prayers here and on Facebook. I'm dealing with the grief as best I can I suppose...doing good things and bad things too. I'm going to try to dust off this crazy old blog and share with you guys again.

I grew up listening to my Mom's Sergio Mendes albums. This song "Mas Que Nada" was one of my favorites when I was a kid. This will show you, if you didn't know already...what a music nerd I am (and was)...I re-played the original of this song when I was 8 or 9 about 100 times and memorized it in Portuguese. I LOVE this new mashup with Sergio and Fergie and will.i.am!!!

On a couple of levels...I really like how you can tell that will.i.am respects the song and Sergio Mendes by the way he teaked the song with the Black Eyed Peas style, but still keeps the groove and soul of the original song. It's been a Sergio Mendes/Herb Albert/Getz-Gilberto summer for music for me. I love how contemporary artists are paying homage to these great artists & sounds from the sexy 60's lately.

This is possibly the most awesome and sweetest and most heart-felt song ever recorded. I'm looking forward to a dance with my cousin Belle to this song.
